United Airlines to Upgrade to Larger Jets in Peoria

Peoria, IL– Beginning September 6, 2006, United Airlines through their regional partner SkyWest Airlines will upgrade two of the four daily flights from Peoria to Chicago from 50-passenger regional jets to 64-passenger regional jets. With the upgraded flights, come first class seat accommodations. The 64-passenger Canadair Regional Jet is configured with 6 first class seats and 58 coach class seats. “The added seat capacity and first-class cabin is an indication of the market potential here in Peoria,” said Ken Spirito, Director of Airports. “We are glad United is continuing to expand its product including the July 26, 2006 announcement to add a fifth Chicago flight starting October 31, 2006.
