Northwest AirLink Adds Two Non-Stop Flights From Peoria To Detroit

The Greater Peoria Airport Authority recently announced the addition of two non-stop, daily Northwest AirLink flights from the Greater Peoria Regional Airport to Detroit, Mich.

The additional jet service raises the daily number of flights from Peoria to Detroit to five–three of which are now non-stop.

"We are excited to provide additional non-stop service to our customers in the Peoria area," said Derek Martin, Northwest sales manager. "This service between Detroit and Peoria provides a great connection option to our customers."

The Northwest announcement comes within a week of the airport landing Peoria-to-Atlanta jet service on Delta Connections ASA.

According to Fred Traub, director of airports for the Greater Peoria Airport Authority, the increased service is all according to plan. "In the last six months, we (the airport authority) have worked hard to add new flights and options–like our new Detroit flights," Traub said. "We secured Delta Connections ASA with non-stop flights to Atlanta. We even made parking free at the airport.

"Our goal is to make the Greater Peoria Regional Airport the premier transportation hub in Downstate Illinois," he added. "These announcements are just a few more reasons why we think we're just about there. And there's plenty more to come."
