The Airport Authority has released it's December 2001 operations report showing an 8.91% increase in passenger traffic compared to December 2000, and a year-to-date increase of 4.09% for 2001.

According to Mary DeVries, Interim Director of Airports, "With renewed confidence in air travel, reliable service, and more flight options than ever before, travelers are finding out that GPRA offers all the amenities for a safe, hassle free trip that passengers are demanding.

Despite the events of the past year 400,920 passengers have chosen GPRA as their airport of choice. With the many updates made to the Terminal Building, parking lot facility, improved customer service, the addition of jet service by Delta Connection/ASA, additional air service by American Eagle/AmericanConnection, Northwest Airlink and United Express have all played a major part in increasing Peoria's ridership.

Richard Blaudow, Chairman of the Greater Peoria Airport Authority Board stated, "We are pleased that Peoria is brought to the forefront again, and its great to see central Illinois citizens being very supportive of GPRA, and we look forward to providing new services and products in 2002!

It's A Great Time To FLY PEORIA!
