Travelers Show Support - GPRA Up 3.37%

Peoria, IL. - Airport statistics for February 2002 show an increase in passenger traffic from the Greater Peoria Regional Airport up 3.37% year-to-date; as the Airport Authority continues to meet with airline representatives to provide central Illinois with more available seats, the safest, most reliable, and affordable air service. Today, travelers have a number of options to choose from when flying from Peoria with 28 departure/arrivals daily to six major hubs offering connections throughout the world.

Mary DeVries, Interim Director stated, "that Peoria is experiencing continued growth which is attributed to the quality of air service, excellent customer service, and great fares. Also, informing the public of issues important to travel has helped to relieve most travelers stress, and has only enhanced travel from Peoria as being remembered as "hassle-free."

Many changes such as fleet equipment, air service schedules, modifications to the Terminal Building, and free parking are just a few items that have altered the public's perception on traveling to/from GPRA, and we are excited that everyone has chosen to FLY PEORIA!
