United Express to utilize CRJ's at the Greater Peoria Regional Airport

Peoria, Illinois - As of July 8, 2002 United Express serving the Greater Peoria Regional Airport will be utilizing 50 seat CRJ's for ALL flights to/from Peoria to Chicago and Denver! Currently, United Express offers two flights daily to Denver and four flights to Chicago O'Hare.

Pat Romano, United Express Station Manager at PIA stated, "with the update in fleet equipment, Peoria has been experiencing enourmous passenger loads as Chicago is a preferred hub for connections. It is also apparent that travelers are extremely happy with the service and current fares in the Peoria market provided by United Express."

According to airport statistics, United Express flights to Chicago show an amazing increase in passenger loads for 2002. United Express - Chicago is up 97% YTD.

According to Mary DeVries, Interim Director "GPRA continues to see growth in its passenger travel, and we anticipate the leisure travel for the summer will boost airport statistics even farther. Current airport stats show year-to-date for 2002 GPRA is up 5.58% over 2001."
