Airport Authority Board to Introduce New Director of Operations
The Greater Peoria Airport Authority Board of Commissioners are pleased to announce that Brad Gantt, A.A.E. has accepted the position of Director of Operations and Maintenance for the Greater Peoria Regional Airport.
The GPRA has been undergoing several operational improvements that include the renovation of the parking lot, along with new projects in the near future that include the addition of a new Flight Information Display system. The Airport Authority is extremely confident that Mr. Gantt has the knowledge and experience to implement these improvements and enhance general operations at the airport.
Mr. Gantt has an extensive background in aviation. He received his Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management and a Master of Public Administration in Aviation Administration from Southern Illinois University. He most recently was the Airport Operations Supervisor at Dane County Regional Airport in Madison, Wisconsin. Mr. Gantt has diverse experience with many aspects of aviation inclduding airport regulations, procedures and issues, operations, maintenance, and management. He has also acquired accreditations through the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). He has attained his private pilot certificate and completed the Transportation Security Administration's Airport Security Coordinator Training curriculum.
Mr. Gantt is no stranger to Peoria. From 1986-1992, he was a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Specialist with the 182nd Peoria Air National Guard, achieving the rank of sergeant.
