American Eagle Airlines Doubles Its Service From Dallas/Fort Worth to Peoria

FORT WORTH, Texas — American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will add a second daily nonstop flight between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Greater Peoria Regional Airport, beginning April 10. American Eagle will operate the second round trip with a 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 jet. In addition, American Eagle has five daily round trips between Peoria and Chicago O'Hare.

"A second daily nonstop flight between Dallas/Fort Worth and the Peoria Regional Airport will allow more flexibility for more people who want to fly to one of the largest metropolitan areas in the country for business or pleasure," said Sen. Richard Durbin (D-Ill.). "Expanding service is good news for air travelers, tourists and local commerce."

"I applaud American Eagle for expanding their Peoria to Dallas/Fort Worth service," said Rep. Ray LaHood (R-Ill.). "I also congratulate Ken Spirito and all the folks at the Peoria airport on their aggressive efforts to expand air service. Direct connections to DFW are very important to Peoria travelers, and adding more flights on this route will make the Peoria airport even more competitive in the future."
