Accessibility
Peoria International Airport is committed to serving the needs of all traveling passengers. To this end, all outside sidewalks have sloping curb cuts for easy wheelchair access. Parking spots, restrooms, signage, restaurants, drinking fountains, and diaper changing facilities are in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Wheelchair assistance is available from your airline; please contact them in advance to make arrangements.
Avis, Budget, Enterprise, and National/Alamo rental car agencies provide hand-controlled vehicles for persons with mobility impairments. Agencies request notification 2-3 days prior to needing to rent a car with adaptive equipment. Wheelchair accessible taxis and CityLink buses serve the airport.
Additionally IlliniNon Emergency Patient Transport serves the Central Illinois area and can assist wheelchair and ambulatory patient transport for any transportation need.
Please note that while service animals are welcomed, their owners may be asked what tasks the service animal has been trained to perform, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
All service animals must be leashed and under the control of their owners while inside the terminal.
An animal relief area is located in the grassy area on the east side of the terminal.

Beginning April 14, 2025, construction traffic will begin on Phase 1 of the new Air Traffic Control Tower.
Construction will take place for 1 year, immediately followed by Phase 2, which will take an additional year.
For the duration of the project, the main terminal drive will be reduced to one lane between the Old Tower and the merge to Dirksen Parkway. In this section of roadway, outbound traffic will use the left lane, and construction traffic will use the right lane. This is to allow consturction traffic access to the work site (as shown in the map below).
